Green Bean Harvest

Picked the rest of the green beans and then we did get rain, 2.5" thus far.

Green Bean Harvest

Blue Lake Superior 5" Bean

17 x 1 lb vacuum bags for the freezer
It took one whole day to clean them.  I cleaned and David packaged them.

We froze most of them, but kept the small haricot vert to eat now, and they taste great.

We are expecting a small second picking after this rain.

Meanwhile, the Frittillarias love the coneflower.

June Garden

Rain has been very good for us this June:  2.25" on the 9th, 3.20" on the 18th, 2.5" on the 22nd and then 3.7" on the 27th.  Being up on this hill, we did not have to worry about flooding.  From left to right:  Beans (Pinto, Green and Lima) in bloom, Squash and Cucumbers in bloom, Okra coming along, 10 rows of peppers!!!!!!!!!! 4 rows of tomatoes with many a green tomato already and finally a recently weeded Herb garden in the middle front, and Asparagus Horseradish bed in the back right.
