Longday Onions

The long day onions are hanging in there.  Grandma said "Don't let it rain on your onions in July", but I think she was talking about intermediates.  I am going to leave the long day onions in to see if they grow more.  They got 1/2 inch of rain today so we'll see if they grow!

For some reason the photos would not rotate today?

These onions were planted March 17th and photographed here on June 17.

Superstar Intermediate

Superstar Rows!

The Intermediate onions (Superstar and Candy) have grown the best.  Zeppelin and Patterson are good storage onions, but most of their bulbs are small since they are a long day onion.  A handful of the Red Zeppelin are big.
