Tomato Field

Tomato, Chili Peppers and Beans
Weedend Harvest
I have never seen so much rain in all my gardening days.  The crops are growing well, and so are the weeds, but pulling is pretty easy in wet soil.

The beans are ready!  We are eating green beans and pinto should come along in the next week.  Tomatoes are big and green, waiting for some sunshine to turn red.

We just had a yummy dinner of cabbage slaw with fresh dill, squash and green beans.  I am making refrigerator pickles for next weekend at the lake.

Squah named Seymore

When I first saw the squash seedings coming up, I thought I had planted squash seeds in the same row as my cucumbers.  Soon I realized this is the "super" squash plant we grew last year, reseeding itself.  The squash is a light yellow, but pretty tasty.  The huge plants shade out all the weeds, and it appears the little cucumbers are climbing their way out.  Search for squash I even found green beans growing under the canopy.
