June Garden

 We have had plenty of rain on the vegetables.  Most of the rows are weeded, and hay is on the tomatoes.  

Squash have yellow leaves, maybe too much rain.  Back of cucumber row did not come up, maybe bad seeds?    Okra row is a bit spotty, maybe too early.  Everything else looks good, so far.  

This is the year of the butterfly, they are thick on the flowers this year.

 

  

 

Summer Garden is Growing

Goods rains have given the summer garden a good start.  From RtoL, green beans, lima beans, squash and cucumber (you can hardly see them but they are up) pinto beans, okra, then the peppers, tomatoes and peas.   

 

Much to my surprise we got a basket full of peas!  We planted late, but cool weather and lots of rain delievered a mess.  Lesson is you should go ahead and throw the peas in even if it is late.
